Getting Started

How do I create an account?
Tap Create Free Account and fill in your name, a username, email, birthday, and gender. If you've bought tickets under that email before, they'll link to your new account automatically — no extra steps.
Why do I need to verify my email?
Right after signup we send a confirmation link. You can browse the site while unverified, but your account (tickets, rewards, crew) stays locked until you click that link. No email? Use the "Resend Verification Email" button on the confirmation screen.
I forgot my password / can't get into my account.
Use Forgot your password? on the login page to get a reset link by email. If you've also lost access to that email, use a saved recovery code instead (see Security below) — generate these in advance so you're never fully locked out.

Your Dashboard

What am I looking at when I log in?
My Account is your home base. At the top is your next upcoming event with a countdown and quick actions. Below that, action cards only show up when they're actually relevant to you right now (verify your email, complete your profile, claim a reward, etc.) — if you don't see a card, you don't need to do that thing. Further down is your activity feed, a running history of everything that's happened on your account.
What's the tier badge next to my name?
Newcomer → Regular → VIP → Elite, based on how many events you've actually checked into (not just tickets you've bought). It updates automatically after each event.
How do I move between Tickets, Crew, Rewards, etc.?
Every account page has a row right at the top: a "My Account" button to jump straight back to your dashboard, plus quick icons for every other section — so you never have to backtrack through the dashboard just to hop from Tickets to Crew, for example.

Install as an App

Why install Paranice as an app?
It puts a Paranice icon on your Home Screen like any other app — no App Store needed, nothing to download. It opens full-screen without browser bars, and on iPhone it's required before you can receive push notifications at all.
How do I install it on iPhone (Safari)?
  • Open paraniceevents.com in Safari (this only works in Safari, not Chrome or another browser on iPhone).
  • Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing up) in the bottom toolbar.
  • Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  • Tap Add in the top right.
  • The Paranice icon now appears on your Home Screen — open it from there like any app.
How do I install it on Android (Chrome)?
  • Open paraniceevents.com in Chrome.
  • Tap the menu (three dots) in the top right.
  • Tap Add to Home screen (sometimes shown as Install app).
  • Confirm by tapping Add / Install.
  • The Paranice icon now appears on your Home Screen — open it from there like any app.
What about on a computer?
In Chrome or Edge on Windows/Mac, look for an install icon (a monitor with a down arrow) at the right side of the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install Paranice Events. It'll open in its own window from then on, separate from your regular browser tabs.

Notifications

Where do I see my notifications?
Tap the bell icon in the top navigation — it's there on every page once you're logged in, with an unread count badge. Tapping it opens a panel listing your recent activity; tap any item to jump to it and mark it read, or use "Mark all read" to clear everything at once.
What shows up as a notification?
Anything that happens on your account: a ticket gifted to or from you, a new ticket linking to your account, a reward claimed or redeemed, reaching a new attendance tier, a crew/friend request, joining a crew, and Live Updates posted for any event you hold a ticket to.
Do I have to be on a specific page to get notified?
No — while you're logged in and browsing anywhere on the site, new notifications automatically pop up as a small toast in the corner of the screen, no refresh or visit to your account needed.
Can I get notified even when I don't have the site open at all?
Yes — open the notification bell and you'll see an "Enable" banner near the top; tap it and allow notifications when your browser asks. Once on, you'll get real notifications on your phone or computer the same way you would from Instagram or email, even with Paranice fully closed. On iPhone, you'll need to install Paranice to your Home Screen first — a plain Safari tab can't receive push notifications at all, that's an Apple restriction. Android and computers don't need to install anything first, just tap Enable.
How do I check that it's actually working?
Go to Account Security and tap "Enable Local Notifications" under Push Notifications — it sends a real test notification straight to that device, so you know immediately whether it's set up correctly.

Tickets & Wallet

Where's my ticket QR code?
Go to My Tickets — each ticket's QR is shown right on the card, ready to scan at the door. Once a ticket's been checked in, its QR is replaced with a checkmark so it can't be shown or scanned again.
Can I add my ticket to Apple/Google Wallet?
Not right now — instead, install Paranice to your Home Screen and use My Tickets directly as your wallet. Your QR code is right there, ready to scan, the same way a Wallet pass would be.
Someone bought me a ticket — how do I get it?
Two ways: if they gifted it to your account email, it links automatically once you sign up or log in. Otherwise, go to Link a Ticket and upload a photo of the ticket's QR code.
How do I gift a ticket to someone?
On My Tickets, open "Gift this ticket" on any ticket you haven't used yet and enter their email. If they already have a Paranice account it shows up instantly; if not, they'll get an email invite to claim it once they sign up.
What happens to my access after I gift a ticket?
The ticket's QR only ever works for one person at a time. The moment you send a gift, it moves out of your active tickets and into a smaller, faded "Gifted Away" row lower on My Tickets — no QR, no wallet pass, just a record of who it went to and when. If the recipient hasn't signed up yet, that row shows "Cancel" instead — cancelling puts the ticket back in your account, live QR and all.

My Crew & Friends

What's the difference between Friends and a Crew?
Friends is a simple one-to-one connection — add someone by username or email from My Crew, and they get a request to accept or decline. A crew is a named group (e.g. "Boat Ride Squad") built from your friends, with its own invite code, group chat-style extras, and its own page.
How do I know if I have a pending friend request?
A red count badge shows on the "My Crew" link in the navigation menu on every page, not just My Crew itself. It also shows up in your notification bell — so you'll notice a pending request without having to go looking for it.
How do I start a crew?
Go to My Crew, name your group, and you'll get a shareable invite code shown right on the crew page. Send it to friends — they enter it under "Join Crew" and they're in.
Can I see who else from my crew is going to an event?
Yes — open your crew and pick an event under "Who's Attending" to see who's got a ticket. You can also leave arrival notes for each other and vote on group decisions with quick polls.
Can I control what my crew sees about me?
Yes — at the bottom of My Crew there's a Privacy panel where you can independently turn off visibility for your upcoming events, attendance history, birthday, tier, profile photo, and crew membership.

Rewards & Early Access

How do I claim a reward?
Active promotions appear on your dashboard under Members-Only Promotions — tap Claim and you'll get a unique voucher code and QR, viewable anytime in My Rewards. Show that at redemption.
A reward I wanted was full — what now?
If a promotion has a limited number of spots, claiming after it fills up puts you on the waitlist instead — you'll see it under Waitlisted in My Rewards, and can leave the waitlist any time if you change your mind.
What does "Early Access" mean on a promotion?
Some promotions unlock the ability to buy tickets to an event before it's publicly announced. Claiming one takes you straight to that event's ticket page — you can revisit it as many times as you like, but the pass is single-use: the moment you complete a purchase, it's marked used and won't unlock a second one.

Event Hub

What is the Event Hub?
A private page for each event you're attending — countdown, your ticket QR, directions, parking, dress code, schedule, and live updates from our team on event day. Get there from your dashboard's "Event Hub" button on your next upcoming event, or from My Tickets. You don't have to keep the page open to catch a live update either — anything posted there also lands in your notification bell, wherever you are on the site.

Profile & Account

How do I change my name, photo, or password?
All of it lives on Edit Profile: your name, username, and email under Profile Details, a new password under Change Password, and a photo you can upload and crop right there — it's what shows to your crew and friends (if you've allowed it in Privacy).
Can I link a ticket that isn't showing up automatically?
Yes — Link a Ticket lets you upload a photo of any ticket's QR code to claim it, even if it wasn't bought under your account email.

Security

What can I do on the Security page?
Account Security lists every device currently logged into your account, with a one-tap "Log out" per device or "Log out everywhere." It's also where you generate recovery codes — one-time backup codes to get back in if you're ever locked out.
I don't recognize a device on my account — what do I do?
Go to Account Security and tap "Log Out Everywhere," then change your password from Edit Profile.
